Zoning & Building
Kidder Township is contracted with Building Inspection Underwriters of Pennsylvania, Inc. to issue all Township Building Permits and provide services such as review of plans and other construction documents, inspect construction, plumbing and mechanical inspections. Please be advised that BIU will not commence work on building permits until Kidder Township has first issued a zoning permit authorizing such work and shall not take any action until all fees are paid and all required documents are properly submitted.

NOTICE OF HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Zoning Hearing Board of Kidder Township
will hold a hearing at the Kidder Twp. Building, 10 Lake Harmony Road, Lake
Harmony, Kidder Twp., Carbon County, PA, on Monday, July 25, 2022, at
6:00PM, for the purpose of hearing the following matters:
The hearing is for the appeal/application of Twin Builders Corporation, LLC
(applicant), on behalf of property owners Edward C. Weaver and Christine
Weaver. Applicant seeks to construct a 28′ x 20′ addition to the home. Applicant
seeks the following variances: 1) §180-142 (c) expansion of a non-conforming use
from current lot coverage of 25.2% to 30.8%; 2) a dimensional variance from the
required 40′ setback from Osceola Street to 10′; a right side dimensional setback
from the required 20′ setback to 12′. The setbacks required are contained in Section
180-19 Schedule of Development Standards, Part 2 of the Kidder Township
Zoning Ordinance. The property is located at 77 South Lake Drive, Lake Harmony,
Kidder Township, Carbon County, PA, PIN No. 19A-21-C36. This property is in
the R-2 Zoning District.
